A Christmas frame.

Ho Ho Ho. These are last years Christmas card photos. A bit of fun and a few vintage found objects. I used a technique on the frame to make it look like faux bois. I saw it in a kaisercraft workshop magazine I got from Pages2scrap. Inspiration is everywhere and I will definitely use the technique again! Thanks for visiting! Lib x

Slice!

I was curious about the range of personal shape cutters on the market and so I bought a Making Memories Slice Elite from Pages 2 Scrap at Tuggerah. I absolutely love it. I now own many cartridges, a handbag to carry/store it and I use it all the time. I even used it to make a State of Origin banner at work tee hee. Imagine my joy to receive a huge Making Memories box of goodies including two new Slice cartridges!!!! Oh happy day. I can't wait to show you the fun I make with it.

Have a great day!

Paper Crafts Festival

Well here I am in Penrith McDonald's blogging the latest adventure.

The ladies and I have just spent the day meandering around the Paper Crafts Festival.

I shopped up a storm and the ladies were really well behaved. It's so exciting for me now to be able to take them with me and have them enjoy the day out. Of course they would rather be at the park or the beach... But really I couldn't be happier with their wonderful manners and thoughtful questions.

Anyway, I saw Sherry and the awesome Twiddleybits team. Their stuff just blows me away every year. I got to drop into Fred The Needle and say hi to Gilly who is such a talented sweet pea. Running into the Singleton scrappers at Fred was too funny. Anyway girls are tired and I should be getting this circus on the road! Claire likes to travel under a beach towel. I think it helps prevent car sickness. Beep Beep!

Trip trip tripitty...

mmm twine (pic stolen from the Fred blog)

Fred The Needle at Penrith has been my favourite scrap/fabric store for years. Simone and Gilly are precious friends and I love their talent for finding great new stuff. They can spot a trend a mile off and always know where to put their hand on that perfect item to finish off your latest work in progress.

So Saturday started out as a normal 'fruit of the womb' free day for me and ended with a stash top up lol Who'd have thought that the lure of a scrap shop would be too strong to resist? It was a four shop marathon! Online shopping is really convenient but scrapping is tactile and I need to fondle future purchases.

The displays at Fred are gorgeous too. I bought a gorgeous cake cloche which I will use to display stuff.

Best news ever is that Words or Whatever (WOW) chipboard have teamed up with Fred The Needle and produce exclusive chipboard products. So yummy! Cameos, doily hearts, dovecotes and gorgeous pennant banners, some with scalloped edges.

I recently made this bracelet from the Cameo chipboard. Underneath this bracelet is my new doily tablecloth. Awesome find!

Once again just plugging my favourite stores cos I get so much enjoyment from them.

Have I told you lately that I love you?

Pages 2 scrap? Would it be too bold to ask to move in? My bed would fit into the room upstairs? I promise I won't make any noise... I can't promise I won't chew open any new boxes as they arrive lol. Mostly I love you because you love T!m Holz too! (There are those in our industry who think he is too commercial... I happen to thank him every day for his talent and gorgeous catalog of yummy products.)

The girls at Pages 2 Scrap are just gorgeous, helpful, and hugely talented. I love going there cos I can have a good old natter about new products, ideas and any time I have wanted to find rare or unusual goodies, Sue and Bec go out of their way to find exactly what I'm looking for. Saturday had me drawn once again down to the shop for a trip around the yummy stuff and who can resist a SALE!?

The upcoming classes.

New stuff... huge tables of it!

I love this place!

You can find the store in Tuggerah. Its about 2ish hours from me. I love to spend a Saturday listening to the radio on the way down there. I get some good thinking time in and my local radio station runs the cutest show called 'treasure hunter' on Saturday mornings. They have two teams one at the studio and one outdoor broadcast following cryptic clues to a 'treasure' and it's so entertaining. Saturdays are my favourite.

Now I don't get anything in the way of payment for this little plug on my blog. Just wanted to show my love for Pages 2 Scrap!

Happy New Year - Financial of Course

Geeks unite and trumpet the shiny new financial year, bursting with promise and endless earning opportunities. Or not...

A WOW mdf frame is the base for this layout. I love these frames, bought a few. This one I painted with good old acrylic spray paint from a can, what can I say, I love shiny. The photo was printed at home on metallic paper. It really is gorgeous photo paper. Works out at about $1 a sheet, but so worth the result.

Anyway tootle ooo. Lib

Oh how I love this stuff - glitter glass
